These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Northline Learning Academy website, online courses, webinars, mentor-led programs, and related communications. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this website or any Northline Learning Academy offerings, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the website or enroll in any course, webinar, or program.

Minimum age requirement: you must be at least 16 years old to use the site and to request information through our contact channels. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to enroll in paid learning services.

2. Description of Services

Northline Learning Academy Ltd provides online education services, including (but not limited to) self-paced or cohort-based online courses, live webinars, mentor-led programs, practice assignments, learning materials, templates, recordings (when stated as included), and learner support communications.

Educational-purpose statement

All content is provided for educational purposes only. Participation does not create an employment relationship and does not guarantee professional certification, job placement, promotion, income, or business results.

3. User Obligations

You agree to use this website and our services lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest content or data from the website using automated methods without our permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or networks, or interfere with site security.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
  • Share or redistribute paid materials or recordings in violation of Section 4 below.

You are responsible for your own equipment, internet connection, and the environment needed to participate in online learning. If a program includes live sessions, you are responsible for joining on time and following instructor guidelines for respectful participation.

4. Intellectual Property

The website and its content, including text, graphics, lesson materials, templates, recordings (if any), and course structures, are owned by Northline Learning Academy Ltd or licensed to us and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the materials for your own learning purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from our materials except where we explicitly allow it in writing.

If you submit feedback, questions, or suggestions, you grant us the right to use those submissions to improve our curriculum and services. We will not attribute your private submissions publicly without your permission.

5. Disclaimers

The website and services are provided on an ā€œas isā€ and ā€œas availableā€ basis. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

We aim to provide accurate, current educational content, but we do not warrant the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of materials for your particular purpose. You are responsible for how you apply what you learn.

We do not guarantee job placement, career advancement, income, business outcomes, or any specific professional result.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Northline Learning Academy Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the website or services.

To the extent that any liability is found despite the limitations above, our total direct liability for claims related to the website or services will be limited to the amount you paid to Northline Learning Academy Ltd for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the three (3) months preceding the event, or CAD $200, whichever is greater.

Some provinces or territories may not allow certain limitations of liability. In such cases, these limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Northline Learning Academy Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and instructors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your misuse of the website or services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

This website may reference third-party services that support course delivery and communications. Any third-party links, if present, are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites or platforms.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Subject to the Dispute Resolution section below, you agree that the courts located in Toronto, Ontario will have jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services.

11. Dispute Resolution

Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at [email protected] with a clear description of the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will make a reasonable effort to respond within 30 days.

If informal resolution is not successful, disputes may be brought in the courts of Toronto, Ontario, unless applicable consumer protection laws in your province or territory require a different forum.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website or services if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in unlawful conduct, or misused learning materials (including unauthorized sharing).

Termination may result in loss of access to course materials and related resources. Where a paid service is involved, any refunds, if applicable, will follow the refund rules described at the time of enrollment.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements, or operational practices. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on the homepage at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the website after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
